Kraków City Race is 2-day orienteering competition held in Kraków. 2nd edition of competition will be organized in fall 2015. Kraków City Race consists of 2 events: night sprint and long city race. This year Kraków City Race is the 4th stage of City Race Euro Tour (other stages are in London, Porto, Barcelona, Antwerp and Sevilla).

Technical information:
Stage 1:
Competition centre: Nowohuckie Centrum Kultury, al. Jana Pawła II 232.
Terrain: Fragment of Nowa Huta discrict, between Plac Centralny, Aleja Jana Pawła II, ul. Bulwarowa and Aleja Solidarności – area east of Plac Centralny with Osiedle Centrum A. It is a residential area, typical of the oldest parts of Nowa Huta, i.e. long blocks of flats with many passageways. Lots of urban greenery. The terrain is almost entirely flat.
Type of competition: night sprint (winner’s time ca. 20).

Stage 2:
Competition centre: Szkoła Podstawowa z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi nr 22, ul. Adama Chmielowskiego 1.
Terrain: Fragment of Kraków along the Vistula river between Dębnicki Bridge and Powstańców Śląskich Bridge. The area includes Wawel Royal Castle, Kazimierz district, northern part of Podgórze district, Vistula Embankments around Forum Hotel and part of Dębniki district. It is a typical old town terrain – mostly tenement houses grouped in rough squares. Vistula Embankments is mostly open area while Wawel Hill is a mixture of walls, building and lawns. The terrain is mostly flat, except from the castle area and the embankments.
Type of competition: long urban race (winner’s time ca. 60 min.).
